Proposed dual tumour‐suppressor role of SOCS3. Epithelial SOCS3 limits IEC proliferation 2, 6 and degrades IDO, limiting metabolism of tryptophan (Trp) to kynurenine (Krn), and therefore promoting immune surveillance by T‐cells.
