G. mellonella larval death is dependent on bacterial growth temperature and bacterial growth phase. G. mellonella larvae were injected with log (LP) and stationary phase (SP) 2457T that were grown at 37°C and 30°C. After injection, the larvae were incubated at either 37°C or 30°C, and death was monitored over time.
