Unless otherwise noted, reaction was carried out with 1a (0.25 mmol), arynes or aromatic olefins 8 (0.1 mmol), and Cu(OTf)₂ (0.01 mmol) in 3 ml of MeCN under irradiation with blue LEDs at room temperature.
