Main effects for the GO and stop-trials in the low-motivation situation. (the upper part) The GO resulted in activities in the precentral gyrus, premotor cortex, supplementary motor areas (SMA), superior temporal cortex, right superior parietal cortex, cerebellum, as well as subcortical regions such as the caudate, putamen, globus pallidum, and thalamus. (the lower part) Both the SST and USST caused activities in the precentral gyrus, medial frontal gyrus, anterior cingulate cortex, middle prefrontal gyrus, inferior frontal gyrus, inferior parietal cortex, middle occipital gyrus, cerebellum, and basal ganglia.
