The 11 International Energy Agency regions used in the analysis are Centrally Planned Asia and China (CPA), Central and Eastern Europe (EEU), newly independent states of the former Soviet Union (FSU), Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), the Middle East and North Africa (MNA), North America (NAM), Other Pacific Asia (PAS), Pacific countries that are members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (POECD), South Asia (SAS), Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), and Western Europe (WEU).
