Guard cell protoplasts were isolated from the indicated genotypes and incubated under light in the absence (white bars) or in the presence (green bars) of 1 μM flg22. Their Pf was measured as described in Materials and Methods. Data from three independent plant cultures, with a total of n = 12–17 protoplasts per condition.
