Free vascularized myofascial flap for reconstruction of a tracheal defect in a porcine model. (A) An elliptical vertical skin paddle was designed for the elevation of the SEAP flap on the upper abdomen. (B) Intramuscular dissection of the perforators from the superior epigastric vessels was performed. (C) The harvested flap contained the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle with fascia, and the superior epigastric artery with venae comitantes. (D) Microvascular anastomosis was performed on the previously identified carotid artery and internal jugular vein. SEAP: superior epigastric artery perforator.
