Inhibition profile of cladosporin, 3-epi-isocladosporin, and isocladosporin for the promastigote growth of WT and genetically manipulated parasites. WT, overexpressor (WT[pLysRS-1+]), heterozygous mutant (LysRS-1/HYG), and add-back (LysRS-1/HYG[pLysRS-1+]) parasites were treated with cladosporin (A), 3-epi-isocladosporin (B), and isocladosporin (C) with concentrations above their IC50s: 5 μM, 65 μM, and 160 μM, respectively. The cell growth was determined after 72 h of drug treatment. In the absence of drug treatment (Untreated), the growth of each parasitic line was normalized to 1.0.
