Vehicle or different concentrations of Peptide B-8R, as shown, was added to (A) hormone-dependent LNCaP cells grown in 2% serum without or with 1 nM R1881, (C) castration-resistant C81, CWR-22Rv1, or MR49F cells, or (D) sGCα1-deficient PC-3 or Cos cells. Cell number was measured after various days of incubation. Data points represent averages of three independent experiments plus standard deviations. Asterisks indicate statistical significance (P<0.03) of Peptide B-8R activity, relative to Vehicle. (B) LNCaP cells treated as described above were viewed by fluorescence microscopy.
