Effect of High-SM intake on satellite cell function in OVX mice. (A) OVX mice were fed with High-SM as shown in Figure 3. Satellite cells retained in their niche on myofibers were isolated from the extensor digitorum longus (EDL) muscle in OVX mice, cultured in mitogen-rich medium for 72 h, and co-immunostained for Pax7 and MyoD.
