Chemical structures (explicit hydrogens have been eliminated) of the major compounds identified in Hibiscus sabdariffa extracts by liquid chromatography coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry. Compounds are grouped in families according to their chemical structure. The complete characterization of the extracts has been previously reported [18,20,37]. The common name of each compound is included under its structure. Compounds with their names in red indicate that these compounds have been identified as plasma metabolites in the bibliography.
