Impact of the manipulation of AO transcripts on aphid fecundity in tobacco. Six-week-old wild-type (WT), PAO, and TAO plants were infested with a single 1-d-old nymph of M. persicae and cultured for 14 d as described. The total numbers of aphids present after 14 d of infestation are indicated as means ± se (n = 6).
