Effect of OHS extract on pain threshold measured by hot plate test. Animals were individually placed on a hot plate with the temperature adjusted to 55 ± 2 °C. The latency to the first sign of paw licking or jump response to avoid thermal pain was taken as an index of pain threshold. Control, vehicle (water)-treated group; OHS100, treated with OHS extract of 100 mg/kg body weight; OHS200, treated with OHS extract of 200 mg/kg body weight.
