Figure 1. Cisplatin increases ALDH activity in HNSCC.

SCC4 and PCI-13 cells were treated for 2 days with 15 μM cisplatin. ALDH activity was determined using an Aldefluor assay in surviving cells and compared with the non-treated cells to evaluate the effect of cisplatin. The fluorescence intensity (ALDH activity) was determined by flow cytometry. Results represent the means and SEMs of two independent experiments.
