Effects of LPS treatment on reproductive physiology in female (n=24 saline-treated; n=29 LPS-treated) and male (n=20 saline-treated; n=26 LPS-treated) hamsters. a) LPS-treated females (gray bars) exhibited a higher percentage of abnormal estrous cycles when compared to saline-treated females (white bars), b) LPS-treated females had smaller ovaries when compared with saline-treated females, and c) male paired testes mass was not affected by LPS treatment.
