Data are means ± SD of four animals per group expressed as the percentage of total cells (CD4+ CD8+, CD4− CD8−, CD4+ CD8−, and CD4− CD8+) or percentage of CD4− CD8− parental cells (CD25+ CD44+, CD25− CD44+, CD25+ CD44− and CD25− CD44−). Total cell numbers were 49.2 ± 15.4 and 55.2 ± 5.7 millions per thymus in SIRT2+/+ and SIRT2−/− mice, respectively. No statistically significant differences in subset percentages or absolute numbers were detected.
