Cysteine and GSH levels were decreased in lysates of COS cells expressing 3MST in the presence of 3MP. (a) A representative HPLC chart of monobromobimane adducts of cell lysates. Cysteine and GSH were decreased in lysates of cells expressing 3MST compared with those transfected with an empty vector. Note that the reaction mixture of lysates contained approximately 1 μM cysteine and 10 μM GSH.
