Scheme of the ASB-SANS procedure, step-by-step. (i) The TM, SS and AS are mixed together in a convenient vessel; (ii) a homogeneous, liquid TS is formed; (iii) the TS is cast onto a substrate; (iv) the AS evaporates, leaving on the substrate a solid solution formed by the crystallized SS that acts as a solid solvent for the TM; (v) the SS sublimates away; (vi) TM nanostructures of different topologies, depending on the composition of the TS, are obtained.
