Effect of treatment with essential oil from Artemisia absinthium L. collected in Havana, Cuba, in comparison with the oil formulated in nanocochletaes. EO-Aa: essential oil from A. absinthium; EO-Aa-NC: essential oil from A. absinthium formulated in nanocochleates; NC: empty nanocochleates; GTM: Glucantime® used as a reference drug. *: displays statistical differences (p < 0.05) compared to control untreated animals. **: displays statistical differences (p < 0.05) compared to animals treated with EO-Aa. a: a positive number represents an increase of body weight, while a negative number indicated decrease of body weight. EO-Aa: essential oil from A. absinthium. EO-Aa-NC: essential oil from A. absinthium formulated in nanocochleates. NC: empty nanocochleates. GTM: Glucantime® used as reference drug.
