HDAC Activity Assay of HDA6 Phosphorylation Mutant Proteins.

(A) HDA6 and phosphorylation mutant proteins were expressed in hda6-6. Total protein extracts were immunoprecipitated by GFP-Trap magnetic beads. The expression of GFP-tagged proteins was analyzed by protein gel blot analysis with an anti-GFP antibody. Enzymatic activity is shown as relative fluorescence units (RFU). Values are means ± sd of three independent measurements.

(B) Rosette leaf number at flowering. Plants were grown under long-day conditions (16 h light/8 h dark). At least 20 plants were scored for each line. Values are means ± sd from three independent plant batches. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, t test.
