MicroRNA involved in pathological lung conditions. MicroRNAs were found to be associated with several respiratory disorders by prior high-throughput and experimentally validated studies. One of them, miR-499a was significantly associated with pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic pulmonary obstructive disease, and non-small cell lung cancer.
