Rats in the SI group, regardless of sex, exhibited an increase in crossovers upon introduction of a social partner. Females exhibited greater levels of social investigation (mean ± SEM) (B), but not contact (mean ± SEM) (C), than males. # indicates a main effect of Condition; $ indicates a main effect of sex.
