Box plots show the distribution of lymphocyte infiltration scores for each subtype. We see a significant reduction in the average level of lymphocyte infiltration in the luminal subtypes (***p < 1.0e−5), with the highest level of infiltration in basal and normal-like subtypes. This pattern is likely reflective of the strong link between infiltration and ER negativity and is reproducible across two cohorts METABRIC (A) and MicMa (B).
