PRKACA or GNAS mutations induce hypomethylation of the CYP11B1 promoter in cortisol-producing adenomas. Methylation levels were compared between cortisol-producing adenoma with (+) and without (−) mutations at all five CpG sites (a), two CpG sites around the Ad1/CRE binding site (b, upper panel) and the other three CpG sites (b, lower panel).
