PCR-SSCP patterns of food-borne pathogens. The DNA was extracted, PCR-SSCP was performed and its finger prints were visualized on non-denaturing polyacrylamide gel. In Fig. A, different food-borne bacterial pathogens unique PCR-SSCP banding pattern and negative control compared to ssDNA ladder (SL). In Fig. 4B, PCR-SSCP finger prints of S. aureus (UOM 012, 018, 048, 051, 069, 082, 090, 114, 136, 157, and 160) isolates within the species compared. Again lane 13 and 14, LA-MRSA UOM090 and LA-MSSA UOM160 isolates containing thermonuclease gene was used to differentiate the resistant and susceptible pathogens and those special PCR-SSCP fingerprints were represented in Fig. B.
