Effect of pesticides on Caco-2 cells differentiation. Cells were exposed to single or mixture of pesticides at concentrations ranging from 1 to 25 μM for 10 days. Cell differentiation was evaluated by measuring ALP activity as described in Section 2. Data are expressed as the percentage of ALP activity in treated compared to control cells (exposed to the vehicle only DMSO) and are the mean ± SEM of three independent experiences in which each treatment was performed in triplicate.
