Numerical simulation of a network of two “perfect” integrate-and-fire neuron models. Coupling is excitatory, but results are qualitatively similar when the coupling is inhibitory. (a) The two voltage time courses at I0 = 0.1 approaching a synchronous state. (b) The same initial conditions as in (a) leading to antisynchronous state, but a more closely spaced initial conditions leading to a synchronous state when I0 is lowered.
