PA was diagnosed according to plasma aldosterone concentration >10 ng/dL following administration of 2 L of sodium chloride 0.9% over 4 hours, or according to urinary aldosterone collection >12 μg/24 h following oral sodium loading in the presence of urinary sodium >200 nmol/24 h.
