C57BL/6 or Swiss Webster mice were inoculated i.v. with the indicated number of sporozoites. Blood smears were examined daily starting on day 3 after sporozoite inoculation and mice were considered negative if parasites were not detected by day 20. For C57BL/6 mice, data from three independent experiments are pooled; two with BP1-KO clone 1 and one with BP1-KO clone 2. For Swiss Webster mice, data from two independent experiments using BP1-KO clone 1 are pooled.
