^aEffects of night work on MI in cases and controls were analyzed using a linear mixed model with a random intercept to take into account the repeated observations for the CpG sites. Cases and controls working only days (Never) were used as reference. Adjustment variables were selected based on the AIC criterion. Adjustments were made for ^b alcohol (BMAL1), familiar breast cancer (CRY1), years since cancer and alcohol (PER1); and for ^calcohol (BMAL1), familiar breast cancer and alcohol (CRY1), years since cancer and alcohol (PER1).
