Relative orientation of the four solutes used to form simultaneous hydrogen bonds with a solvent water bridge. Although not seen, Solute 2 is in the mirror-image position of Solute 1 behind the X-Z plane. The color-code is the same as in Figure 6. A solvent water is also shown to indicate the position of the intervening bridge when the solutes are at an appropriate configuration.
