Salidroside inhibited inflammatory responses in a LPS-induced systemic inflammation mouse model. Mice were intraperitoneally injected with LPS (10 mg/kg) for 6 h (A), NOx production; (D) iNOS expression) or 24 h (B), IL-6 production; (C) HMGB1 productions; (E) SIRT1 expression; (F) lung histological change) in the presence or absence of salidroside (SDS; 20 and 40 mg/kg). The levels of serum IL-6 and HGB1 were determined by ELISA kits. The levels of serum NOx (nitrite/nitrate) were determined by nitrite/nitrate colorimetric assay kit. The protein expressions were determined by Western blot. Lung specimens stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Scale bar = 100 μm. Data are presented as means ± SEM (n = 6 mice per group). *P < 0.05 as compared with control (vehicle). **P < 0.05 as compared with LPS alone.
