Salidroside attenuates sepsis-induced lung edema and lipid peroxidation and improves PaO2/FiO2 ratio. Sepsis was induced through cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). (A) Lung edema was measured as the wet/dry weight ratio in mice subjected to CLP for 24 h. Salidroside (SDS 20 or 40 mg/kg) was administered to mice 30 min after CLP. (B) The PaO2/FiO2 ratio was detected after CLP in mice with and without salidroside treatment. (C) Malondialdehyde (MDA, lipid peroxidation marker) levels were detected in the lungs of mice subjected to CLP for 24 h. Salidroside (SDS, 20 or 40 mg/kg) was given 30 min after CLP. All data are presented as means ± SEM (n = 6 mice per group). *P < 0.05 as compared with control (vehicle). **P < 0.05 as compared with CLP alone.
