Similar to the pattern in the spatial maps (Fig. 9), an increased amount of dispersion is evident around the midline compared to the lateral aspects of the corpus callosum. PLI exhibits lowest dispersion in the corpus callosum, whereas histology and dMRI yield similar values. However, when astrocytes (in addition to myelin) were incorporated for the histological dispersion estimate (i.e. derived from FODMA), higher dispersion values are obtained.
