FAM-labelled aptamers (250 nM) were incubated with P. aeruginosa lab strains, clinical isolates, or E. coli. Cells were washed, re-suspended in PBS and analysed by flow cytometry to measure the relative fluorescence intensity (AFU) due to bound aptamer (n = 1).
