The liver tissues of wild-type (“WT”) mice, 1α(OH)ase knockout (“KO”) mice, or KO mice plus 1,25(OH)2D3 (thrice weekly subcutaneous injection), or NAC (in drinking water) were isolated; Relative ROS level (A) and lipid peroxidation content (B) were analyzed; mRNA (C and D, qRT-PCR assay) and protein (Quantified in E, Western blotting assay) expression of Prdx-I and Prdx-IV were also examined.
