The full-length MUC16 contains a large cleaved and released domain named CA125 consisting of multiple repeat sequences, followed by a conserved cytoplasmic domain MUC16^ecto including a nonrepeating ectodomain, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail.
