Enhanced adaptive immunity to Bp antigens are seen in melioidosis survivors, both at the time of acute infection and 12 weeks after recovery from acute infection. The Venn diagram shows the overlap between enhanced T cell responses at the time of acute melioidosis in survivors compared to fatal cases (9 Bp antigens) and at 12 weeks after recovery in survivors compared to seronegative controls (5 Bp antigens).
