Treatment with a combination of NBQX and ifenprodil during the latent period of the intrahippocampal kainate mouse model does not retard the development of spontaneous electrographic seizures. Data are combined from experiments 2 and 3 (see Fig. 1) and are shown for 4 periods (2, 3, 4, 6 weeks) after kainate. In each graph, the number of electrographic seizures in individual mice is shown; the group median is indicated by the horizontal line. Two types of electrographic seizures are shown: high-voltage sharp waves (HVSWs) and hippocampal paroxysmal discharges (HPDs).
