Simulations (N=100) of coherent energy transport (1 ns each, 2000 evolutions × 500 fs timesteps, with εr = 8.41 and 50–300 cm−1 dephasing) due to single-photon excitations of tryptophan-only lattices in linear polymers of tubulin dimers. Initial photoexcitation impinges on tubulin 0 at Trp βW-346, which is closest to the protofilament surface. Final propagation distances for all 100 simulations have been tabulated and are shown on the vertical axis. The tubulin dimer on which the exciton finally lands after 1 ns is plotted on the horizontal axis.
