MdCHKs interact to form homodimers and heterodimers in BiFC assays. Cells of C. roseus were transiently co-transformed using the plasmids expressing the different MdCHK proteins fused with the YFPN and YFPC split in C-terminal. Homodimerizations (A,G,M,S,Y) and heterodimerizations (B–F,H–L,N–R,T–X) have been tested, with both YFPN and YFPC combinations. Three independent plasmid clones were used to test interactions.
