HM71224 limits renal impairment. Serum blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine (CRE) were measured at the end of the study. Treatment of MRL/lpr mice with HM71224 reduced BUN (a) but increased CRE was not observed at 28 weeks of age, even in vehicle-treated mice (b). Treatment of NZB/W F1 mice with HM71224 resulted in a significant decrease in BUN (c) and CRE (d) at 40 weeks of age.
