Therapeutic effect of the 5-FU patch in an orthotopic tumour model. (a) Tumour cells were inoculated into the pancreas via a small incision around the spleen, and the patch was transplanted 7 days later. On day 21, mice were sacrificed, and the size of the tumours was determined. (b) Tumour size was measured in the two groups to confirm the tumour suppressor effect of the 5-FU patch. (**p < 0.01) (c) Tumour growth was monitored with the IVIS through day 21 after tumour transplantation. (d) Quantification of individual bioluminescence signals confirmed the therapeutic effect in the 5-FU group.
