Chemotherapy treatment reduced markers of hippocampal neurogenesis. Paclitaxel treatment reduces Ki67 (A) and BrdU (B) immunoreactivity in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus. Relative to cremophor vehicle-treated rats, rats treated with paclitaxel displayed decreased levels of Ki67- (p < 0.05) and BrdU-like (p < 0.05) immunoreactivity within the GCL and SGZ of the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus.
