Video 1. Segment 1A. Examination of the Subject’s Blepharospasm Prior to Deep Brain Stimulation. There are frequent spasms and difficulty keeping eyes open. Patient requires tape or use of hands to hold his eyelids open. Segment 1B. Examination of Patient’s Blepharospasm 1 Year after Deep Brain Stimulation Implantation. The patient is able to hold his eyes open easily and there are no spasms or contractions seen.
