Among the cases seen in the clinic was a 54-year-old Haitian woman farmer with classic mucocutaneous signs and symptoms of what was clinically diagnosed as untreated systemic lupus erythematosus that led to her scarring and permanent alopecia. Because of the lack of access to laboratories and pathology at the clinic in Haiti, the clinicians must rely on their clinical and physical diagnosis skills.
