Exogenous IAA treatment represses soybean seed germination under dark conditions. Healthy and elite soybean seeds (cultivars ND-12 and C-103) were incubated on two layers of filter paper in Petri dishes. The concentration of IAA used was 1 μM, and the equivalent amount of ultrapure water was added as control (Cont). The germination rates under dark conditions were recorded using a safe green light. Quantitative analysis of germination rates is shown in the right panels. The representative images (21 hours after sowing) are shown (left panels). (A,B) for cultivar ND-12; (C,D) for cultivar C-103.
