The denitrogenation phase values shows the situation with a machine prefilled with 100% oxygen, a machine’s volume of 28 L and horse’s FRC of 15 L. Calculations predicted that with an oxygen flow at 8 L min−1 the FeO2 would reach 67% after four breaths.
