Correlation of S Typhi–specific multifunctional CD69⁺CD8⁺-T_EM responses between terminal ileum LPMC and peripheral blood (PBMC) in Ty21a-vaccinated and unvaccinated volunteers. Net S Typhi–specific CD8⁺-T_EM responses were calculated using the FCOM function of Winlist and stratified into MF cells following stimulation with S Typhi-infected and uninfected EBV-B targets. Spearman correlation analysis was performed on (A) CD107a⁺ MF, (B) IFN-γ⁺ MF, (C) IL17A⁺ MF, and (D) IL2⁺ MF S Typhi–specific CD69⁺CD8⁺-T_EM in unvaccinated volunteers (n = 22).
