Expression of BER genes in liver biopsies from CHB patients. Total RNA from liver biopsies of naïve or IFN-α-treated CHB patients were extracted. After reverse transcription, (A) NEIL3 and TDG mRNA levels and (B) NEIL1, NEIL2, MBD4, AAG, OGG, SMUG1, UNG, and APE expression levels were quantified and normalized to GAPDH mRNA.
